FAN Bulletin #599: ANNOUNCING - 2nd Citizens’ Conference on Fluoride!
June 6, 2006
Dear All,
Information is now available online about FAN’s fabulous upcoming 2nd Citizens’ Conference on Fluoride (July 28-Aug 1, 2006). See: http://www.fluoridealert.org
The conference will provide a tremendous opportunity for people to learn from some of the world’s leading scientists on fluoride – including three members of the prestigious National Research Council (NRC) report:
- Dr Kathy Thiessen, an NRC panel member, will be presenting on how fluoride impacts the endocrine system, particularly the thyroid gland.
- Dr. Robert Isaacson, an NRC panel member, will detail the growing body of evidence – including his own series of studies – on how fluoride impacts the brain.
- Dr. Hardy Limeback, another NRC panel member, will be presenting on how fluoride can damage teeth.
The conference will also feature a presentation by Dr. Donald Taves, who – among his many claims to fame on this issue - authored one of the NRC’s previous reports on fluoride toxicity. For his presentation, Taves will address “three studies that might change the stalemate in the fluoridation controversy.”
We have also received the exciting news that Dr. Jennifer Luke will be attending the conference to present her seminal research on how fluoride impacts the pineal gland.
Other topics to be covered include:
- Fluoride and bone cancer: the Harvard studies;
- Relevance of the NRC report to water fluoridation;
- The EPA Union’s position on water fluoridation;
- Impact of artificially fluoridated water on horses;
- Impact of fluoride air pollution on community health;
- Exposure to fluoride from pesticides.
The conference will be an incredible opportunity for citizens to come together, learn the latest science, and rejuvenate their energies for the important future campaigns ahead.

Hope to see you there!
