Bulletin #623
July 23, 2006
Dear All,
Before I discuss what I mean by “being a node”, with 8 days to go to the FAN conference, here is a short update. We now have over 70 peopel attending and our state total is now up to 22 (Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawai, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Washington and West Virginia). It is still not too late to register! Go to http://www.FluorideAction.net
As we make our final preparations for the conference one of the things uppermost in my mind is how we strategize to achieve a greater impact in Washington, DC. As I thought about this I decided to investigate to see roughly how many people get copies of these bulletins - we know it doesn’t stop with our readership. Many people pass them (not all of them of course, but the ones that they think our important) along to their own email lists. These people are our nodes! Are you one of them?
If you are “a node,” here is my question: to how many people do you (or would you) send important issues of the FAN bulletins? i.e. how many people do you have on your email list? In other words, what is your amplification factor?
Knowing what the total number of people we can reach is going to be very useful as we strategize to put more pressure on Congress to have a congressional hearing to investigate the CDC’s continued unscientific bias on this issue and on the EPA to a) expedite its determination of a new MCLG and 2) revoke its go ahead to Dow AgroSciences to use sulfuryl fluoride as a fumigant on food (and the horrendous new fluoride tolerance levels that go with their approval, which includes 900 ppm on powdered eggs and 130 ppm on wheat flour!).
Please give me this information:
My email address is _______________I live in __________(state), if I agreed with the message, I can reach ___________ people by email.
