What Could FAN Do to Better Assist Your Efforts?

FAN Bulletin 938

March 7, 2008

Dear Supporter,

Over the coming months, the Fluoride Action Network (FAN) will be redesigning its website and creating new materials (e.g. brochures & pamphlets) to better assist newcomers and local activists working on the fluoridation issue.  With this in mind, we wanted to take a moment and ask for your own thoughts on what we could do to make FAN more helpful to your own personal efforts.

What do You Think?

Some questions we are looking for feedback on, include:

1) What changes could FAN make to its website to make it more helpful and useful for you?
2) Do you have any recommendations for material we should be including in flyers and brochures? (If you have any sample brochures that you like — which you can email us — please do so.)
3) Would you prefer 1 general brochure (which outlines the overall problems with water fluoridation), or would you prefer several mini-brochures which focus on different aspects of the fluoridation issue (e.g. Infant warnings; dental fluorosis; the industrial source of fluoridation chemicals, etc)?
4) What other kind of non-website materials would be helpful to you?
5) What else could FAN do to better help people interested in, and concerned about, the fluoride issue?

If you have a moment, please let us know what you think. Whether it’s just one sentence, or a long email, your advice will be taken into careful consideration as we move forward. Please contact us at: personal@fluoridealert.org

Become a FAN Contact!

FAN is currently looking for more “FAN Contacts.” FAN Contacts are listed on our website to help facilitate networking among people who want to work on the issue locally or regionally (see: http://www.fluoridealert.org/fan-contacts.htm and http://www.fluoridealert.org/fanintl-contacts.htm ). For example, if someone from Minnesota is looking to get fluoride out of Minnesota’s water, they can directly contact our Minnesota rep (Jason Krueger) to learn what they can do, rather than going through us.

If you are interested in becoming a FAN Contact, please let us know your preferred contact information (email, phone, or both), and a brief summary of your current activities on fluoride. Also, it would be helpful for us if you could provide us a list of the 3 main “talking points” you have about fluoridation (e.g. What makes you most upset about fluoridation?) Please contact us at: michael@fluoridealert.org

Are You Receiving Too Many Emails?

If you are currently overloaded with email, and wish to receive less emails from FAN, please let us know. We now have a monthly newsletter available, and so if you like, we can switch your subscription preferences so that you only receive the monthly newsletter. If you’re interested in this option, please email us at: monthly@fluoridealert.org

Thank you for your help on this matter. Only together can we end water fluoridation once and for all.

Sincerely,

Paul Connett, PhD
