We were very excited with the rapid response (see below) to our call for feedback on the high quality version of our new video Professional Perspectives on Fluoridation .

One of those who sent in a response (Dr. James Reeves, Lafayette, Louisiana) posted his comments on Amazon.com. We urge others to do likewise ? or at least, give a favorable ‘yes” to Dr. Reeves commentary. To post a comment, go to www.Amazon.com and put in Professional Perspectives on Fluoridation, DVD in the search window. Click on the icon and scroll down to post a comment and/or  record “yes” to the question “was this review helpful to you?”

Excerpts from the DVD can be accessed via our home page and it is easy to order online. If you want to order bulk copies (5 or more at $7 each plus postage) email us at info@fluoridealert.org

A big thank you to all of those who responded ? and we are hoping for even more responses when you get a moment (maybe over the weekend?).

FEEDBACK ON DVD:

Dr. James Reeves, Lafayette, Louisiana

This presentation has been invaluable in my community to explain to citizens and political leaders the reasons why adding fluoride in drinking water is unwarranted and dangerous to health. The medical and scientific professionals are impressive and concise with very easily understood statements. The local public television station has broadcast  it on a repeating basis, thereby informing much of the community of the truth about fluoridation. Because dentists and others promoting fluoridation generally have considerable community respect, it is important to counter those arguments with experts such as those on this DVD.

Aliss Terpstra, Toronto

I have seen the DVD but don’t yet have my own copy. I think it is the best presentation to date on the range of scientific and logical reasons not to add industrial waste fluoride to drinking water. Just excellent in every way. Great choice of experts, seamless flow of points. I did not notice any glitches. Very professional. It has a kind of humility and genuineness to it too.

The only thing I wish you had been able to put in there is the issue of increased lead leaching when there are silicofluorides plus chloramine. As we find out more and more about lead’s long term toxicity effects on adults and developmental damage to fetus and child at lower levels that were previously thought safe, I just keep thinking that this is fluoridation policy’s weakest point.

Dr. Steve Dean, Springfield, Massachusetts

I have shown this DVD in public on 2 occasions and it was well received.  I was glad to see the doctors and scientists who have fought water fluoridation for decades have an opportunity to personally go on camera .

Many of the basic arguments against water fluoridation were brought out in this video, especially the concept that if you cannot be treated in a dental office without consent, you should NOT be forced over a lifetime to consume additional fluoride in your drinking water.

The deep concern that  I have today is not the results of a fair ballad question defeating fluoridation, but the circumvention of the right to vote on this issue. It is imperative that we inform the public and our State Legislators of the danger of mandatory water fluoridation. It not only denies the right to vote on this question but circumvents a community from controlling it’s own city water supply.

Regarding making copies, the package in which the DVD comes in is professional and makes a better presentation than a plain copy.  I have already received 22 copies from FAN and I encourage everyone to buy it from this organization in support of our efforts.

Once again to FAN  congratulations for this impressive and professional DVD.

Bernie Miltenberg, Maryland.

Well Paul, I have 18 DVD’s from you.  I have not burned any DVD’s myself because the whole package is worth the bulk order price of $7.  The Mayor and Council in Frostburg all have copies and Cumberland is next.  I showed the DVD at the Frostburg Library to an group of under 20 people.  Good positive feedback so far.  I am going to send one of the DVD’s to Cecil County Maryland to the Administrator and see if I get a response.  Bernie

Good film Paul-

I had a dinner/ film showing with some neighbors and they were reinforced in their convictions against water fluoridation. I also showed it to my office group of about a dozen people and they found it eye-opening.

I think that the CD is a very powerful tool in convincing any one except those that cannot think (Public Health dentists). It gets the message across clearly.

The Commission of the city of Gatineau, on which two dentists and one medical doctor of the Department of Public Health sit, have seen it. They were surprised to learn that many insecticides contained fluorides.  Members of the environment group of Gatineau (CREDDO) have seen it and are now playing an active part in the battle against fluoridation. Two of them have signed the professionals’ statement.

The International meeting of the Orthomolecular Medicine Society will be held this weekend in Montreal and I will have 150 copies of the professionals’ statement available at the registry table for signing.  I will print more if needed. In one month, it will be the turn the Canadian Naturopathic Medicine to hold its convention in Montreal, and I will try to have the video shown and have the statements available for signing.

Last week, in Ste-Marie-de-Beauce, I gave a copy of the DVD to the local community TV station, after my 30 minutes interview with them. This interview will be presented about ten times during this week.  In Ste-Marie-de-Beauce, the city council has been convinced by the Public Health department to proceed with fluoridation without informing the population, who are now finding out about it and are reacting.  Hence my interview. A public meeting will be hold next Monday night with the Public Health Direction. We are trying to get environment groups to post information about the DVD on their sites.

Jesse Salisbury, Del Norte County, California

We have made about 20 copies. It has been very effective, so far most that have seen it were already against fluoridation and the video has empowered them with new information. At our showing at the College of the Redwoods I believe that there was only one doctor present. Copies have been sent to doctors and dentists in our area as well as the social services health director who wrote a op-ed in the daily paper parroting the usual outdated CDC garbage.

I haven’t heard one negative thing about the video but I have heard some pretty negative things about fluoride and the powers that keep using it. The DVD has persuaded some to become involved in the effort and to become outspoken about it (which is a very big deal in our small community where the biggest employer is the government)

We feel that this is a great tool - it will allow the information to be distributed without fear of reprisals from peers.

We have taken out ads in the daily paper (Daily Triplicate, Del Norte county, Ca.) offering it free at our webpage: www.delnortecleanwater.org After 4 ads we have only had a couple orders for the video.

Diane Di Florio, Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

I have enjoyed all your  DVD’s ? particularly your newest edition “Professional Perspectives on Fluoridation”.   This is truly the most informative DVD to date and is something everyone should watch.  I know my personal dentist had no idea that the fluoride in our drinking water was not pharmaceutical grade and has since re-evaluated her initiatives on fluoride treatments.   My understanding is, she no longer promotes treatments, and only recommends this for those that truly have obvious concerns.    I will be visiting her again next month and plan to ask her to sign the Professionals’ Statement, if she hasn’t already done so.   I will provide her with a copy of your new DVD.

Vic Hummert, Lafayette, Louisiana

I have given the DVD to numerous people and just ordered another twenty copies.

We are building a stronger group of resistance to fluoridation in Lafayette and the DVD has been very helpful in this effort. I trust this “rebellion” against state-wide fluoridation will spread to other cities. I have written a column against fluoridation in the Lafayette DAILY ADVERTISER.

It is known that the City Council members are opposed to fluoride in the water and at least one government employee will quit working here rather than fluoridate the water.

Thanks to Paul Connett for visiting Lafayette last week and thanks to all of you for your efforts.
