This is a last minute effort to reach all the people we have ever communicated with on the issue of water fluoridation. 2010 promises to be our most challenging year to date in our efforts to end fluoridation worldwide. We are facing a massive uphill task because those who continue to push this foolish practice on their populations are powerful and have huge financial resources. It is only possible on our slender budget because we have something that they don’t have: the truth. But even the truth only works if we can get people to read and acknowledge it. In that respect we have some tools: the massive FAN website - the Professionals’ Statement - the Professionals’ DVD and our other videos.

These are tough financial times and we are falling a long way short of our goal of $50,000 by midnight Dec 31. Here is the latest update on our campaign fundraiser.

Half-way there! We have now raised $26,276 from 157 donors towards FAN’s 2010 budget of $50,000.

TWO CHALLENGES for FAN to make an additional $2,500 before midnight December 31:

* If we can get 300 donors, a FAN “angel” will donate $1,500 - so please help boost our numbers by sending in any donation no matter how small (or large!). We need another 143 donors. The number of donors count because foundations always ask how many members support our organization financially.

* If we can reach a reduced goal of $35,000, another FAN “angel” will donate $1,000 - the deadline for making tax-deductible donations to count against 2009 tax returns.

Free DVD for every donation of $10 or more (until midnight Dec 31). We will send you a copy of the DVD: Professionals’ Perspective on Water Fluoridation. This will be sent to you automatically if you make your donation online or by check. If you don’t want the DVD, because you already have a copy, please give it to someone who hasn’t seen it yet.

As time is so short we will put out an update this evening at 8 pm (EST) to let you know how far we have got in this quest. So please fire away. If nothing else it should be fun!
